Sparling

Sparling Instruments was founded in 1919 by Ray W. Sparling and began manufacturing propeller meters to measure water for irrigation, water distribution facilities and waste water plants.

For almost 100 years Sparling Instruments has introduced numerous products and systems focused on the measurement of water, chemicals and other liquids for municipal, industrial, and agricultural applications.

Sparling continues to manufacture its popular main line propeller meters, TigermagEP™ magnetic flow meters to measure water, chemicals, and slurries.

Electromagnetic Flow Meters

Sparling Instrument’s TigermagEP electromagnetic meters are robust and versatile available in several configurations. These meters excel in measuring the flow of conductive liquids in full, closed pipes. With a wide variety of liners and electrodes, including ‘Hot Tap’ removable style, the TigermagEP can be utilized in many varied applications including water, agricultural irrigation, raw sewage, activated sludge, wastewater, pulp and paper, and mining. With its vertically integrated manufacturing facility, Sparling is easily able to manufacture meters for high temperature and high pressure.

Propeller Flow Meters

Sparling’s line of propeller flowmeters supplies an economical way to measure cold water in agricultural and municipal environments.

Positive Displacement Flow Meters

Sparling’s inventory of Oval positive displacement meters are designed for flow measurement of very small flow rates in applications requiring high accuracy. These robust positive displacement fluid flow measuring devices are available in a wide variety of configurations and options including digital displays, mechanical counters, and battery powered models

Vortex Flow Meters

Sparling offers vortex flow meters with rugged material construction and design engineering that are suited for a wide array of applications. Injection molded and constructed of durable (PPS) polyphenylene sulphide material and stainless steel, these vortex meters can withstand extreme temperatures. These robust vortex flow meters are small, compact, lightweight measuring devices and available in a wide variety of configurations and options including wafer, flanged and with replaceable sensors.
